Kamelot - To Release New Live Album, DVD/BluRay

On August 14th, Kamelot are going to release a brand new live album, DVD/BluRay, entitled I Am The Empire - Live From The 013. As the title indicates, this effort was recorded at the legendary 013 venue in Tilburg (The Netherlands). It consists of twenty-one songs with more than 100 minutes of live music and multiple exclusive extras, including backstage interviews of all guests, band members and fans. Additionally, Kamelot share the live video of their performance of "Sacrimony (Angel Of Afterlife)", featuring Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) and Elize Ryd (Amaranthe).

Kamelot frontman Tommy Karevik on "Sacrimony (Angel Of Afterlife)": "We can now proudly announce that the first video to be released from the show will be "Sacrimony (Angel Of Afterlife)". Such a waste to name it "I Am The Empire" without "The Proud and The Broken" on the setlist.

Only five Khan-era songs. Just three from their best albums (March Of Mephisto and When The Lights Are Down from The Black Halo and Forever from Karma).

That's my complaint as well. The setlist could be a lot more balanced throughout their discography.
Plus, the only album with Tommy Karevik that i really like is Haven.

I was glad to have received the chance of hearing Khan's songs vocalized by Tommy prior to the release of Haven in their live shows. He really did a fantastic job covering Center of the Universe, Karma, Forever, Human Stain, When the Lights are Down, Farewell, Abandoned, Descent Archangel, Ghost Opera & Rule the World. Just wished they would do older songs like Elizabeth, Moonlight, Silence of Darkness, Don't You Cry & Snow live. Would be amazing. But I understand that those were Khan's signature songs, and not their usual every live performance songs. I also wouldn't mind one or two songs played live from their first three albums like Birth of a Hero
