Piledriver - Mainman Passed Away
Canadian 80's thrash act Dogs with Jobs posted that Gord "Piledriver" Kirchin has passed away, he played in the aforementioned band before he launched the classic Piledriver project. Steven Lederman also confirmed his death in his private Facebook page.
Steven Lederman comments: ''I lost a dear friend today. He was a man of enormous wit and intelligence. He was gifted with an abundance of musical talent, writing skills (music and prose) and a flair for showmanship. Contrary to what he or his public persona would have you believe, his heart was not black. It was huge, and filled with love for things about which he was passionate. We played together in a group called Piledriver, and below are images from our first live show ever, and from the Montreal Metal Massacre. I only included the last photo of Jessica and myself because he said that it made him giggle, even though he didn't know why. The absence of your energy is palpable, Gord. Love you, brother."
