January 2023 update bugs

Album styles should be back to normal now.

Don't know if these have been reported here, search function looks like it still has issues.

Searching events with "Ragnarök" only reports results with "Ragnarok". For "Ragnarök" results, you need to type in "Ragnarök", which I only found out because Ragnarök festival event is titled : GER, Lichtenfels - Ragnarök Festival 2023

Also, some events do not show up on the artists page. Typically an issue with cosmic Void Festival and Alcatraz Festival, don't know if others are affected. Looks like it has something to do with the scenes code, because it only started when I added a scene for Cosmic Void, but otherwise I'm clueless. There doesn't seem to be any issues in the band list and scenes.

I'm having trouble both understanding and reproducing this. I can search for an event using both ragnarök and ragnarok and search will return the event you're mentioning.

Oh, so it seems that only events that were created before the MS update are affected. This year's Ragnarök also was, but I edited it yesterday and now it behaves normally. But if you try to find past events with "ragnarök", there's only one other showing up.

And I now understand why you had trouble understanding my message. MS interpreted Ragnar&ou ml;k (no space obvisouly). If you type that, you find the other events, like this one https://metalstorm.net/events/event.php?event_id=163117

Ah yeah that makes sense. I converted a few database columns from HTML entities to proper UTF-8. Can you try again before I go looking for code issues?

About the other issue, have a look at the Cosmic Void Festival event page. For some reason, bands for the first day (scene specified) show the event on their respective pages, whereas bands on the two other days, don't. For Alcatraz, it's very weird, only the last band of each day get the event on their page. None other seem to otherwise.

Edit: Just found out that Eindhoven Metal Meeting is also affected by this issue, it doesn't show up on bands pages.

Edit n°2: Wolfszeit, Neuborn Open Air and Resurrection Fest too.

The VA sampler In The Twilight, These Rocks Have Teeth is part of The Ocean's discography, but you can neither view nor edit the album. A release date is missing, so this may be the problem.

The tracklist of Stahlhammer's Wiener Blut looks totally fine here, but it vanishes into thin air in the moment you click on it. Furthermore, the option to open an album thread seems to be disabled.

Two weird bugs...

The VA sampler In The Twilight, These Rocks Have Teeth is part of The Ocean's discography, but you can neither view nor edit the album. A release date is missing, so this may be the problem.

The tracklist of Stahlhammer's Wiener Blut looks totally fine here, but it vanishes into thin air in the moment you click on it. Furthermore, the option to open an album thread seems to be disabled.

You might want to add Damnation A.D. album Pornography to that list. I went back to fix the date and the track list disappeared. It also seems to bring back the old rating system for some reason. I don't know if this happened to anyone else but it's the second time this has happened to me.

Can't find a more general bug thread so I'll put this here.
When a user that is on my ignore list quotes a comment of mine I still get a notification. Is this a bug or a feature? Seems like a pointless notification when I can't see what they wrote (and don't want to) unless I logout or switch to a private window.

That's probably a bug. I'll put it on my to-do list, but I'm somewhat pressed for time over the summer so I can't tell you when I'll get to it.

Please do not tick "use default line-up" when there is no proper line-up.
