I was just thinking the other day how ridiculously underrated a lot of Judas Priest's softer, more ballad like songs are. Especially their love songs, like Last Rose of Summer, Prisoner of Your Eyes, Night Come Down, Out In The Cold. I think this song proves my point, but I'm a hopeless romantic, so I love seeing a hard band's soft and tender side, ironic as it is for a band like Judas Priest.

Also, after reading Halford's biography I can't help but wonder if he inserted a little bit of himself in the lyrics.

I agree that Judas Priest has some nice songs that are softer. I liked this particular new song, but it largely had me wishing I was listening to "Never The Heroes" or "Sea Of Red" from Firepower instead. I'm still hopeful for Invincible Shield and the songs may grow on me, but I'm also prepared for disappointment compared to the perfect late-career album that they delivered in 2018.

Boy, is this album going to rule. I love how different from each other are the three songs already released, manifesting various facets of Judas Priest. The lead guitars are to die for. As ChrisWinther94 said in the album thread, this song has a Point Of Entry feel, and I would add that there's also some Turbo thrown in. It's made for massive filled-out stadiums, and I can already visualise thousands of horns held up when Rob sings "I’ll call out to the world tonight, To raise your horns up high".

The lyrics are some of the best he has ever written, and they are definitely autobiographical; no doubt about it.
Goosebumps, this song, goose bumps all around.

Looks like I'm the only one who's not really "feeling it" so far for Invincible Shield. Awesome! I'm hoping that my opinion changes, and this is a good sign that it can.
