Don't let the average rating fool you. This is a release bordering on very good/excellent! "Towards Extinction" is a rock solid debut. It's catchy with just the right amount of technicality and melody. It's straight to the point, all killer almost no filler. Guitar solo bonanza. I am glad I own it on CD. 8.5/10. Highly recommended...

You judging only on 6 votes here. I remember it was a decent album, but it didn't garner much attention because it was just another borderline "death metal" release. Look at rym, it galloped "avg rating".
