A majestic trad/symphonic black metal record focusing on the French revolution. Best listened to as a whole. While I don't speak French well, I can hear the anguish and triumph expressed on behalf of the French people of that time during in this record—Epic in all the best ways.

Got to know them with their previous album, and spinned it quite a lot. i am a huge anorexia nervosa fan, and love BM with french lyrics. not that close to anorexia though, but still it eases the itch a bit .

I just wanna shoutout Seth for having the wildest deluxe editions I've seen, from the previous one having the ashes of the Notre Dame and some matchsticks to this one having a custom made guillotine that you can put the CD in.  EXIT: Also this album is good. Vive le Roi!

Why it is so good? Very similar vibes as Anorexia Nervosa - Redemption Process + Dimmu Borgir - Eonian at the same time, but different. I can describe it only with one word - masterpiece!

Just made a few more spins and find out that there is something about Le Vin du Condamné song, starting from 5:04 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py0DwhJlcU0-0&t=304s It sounds very much alike Emperor - Inno a Satana starting from 3:21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vnyx9w4dP-0&t=201s 🤯 That's explains why I loved it so much! However now wonder if it is a total coincidence or not at all...🤔
