Listen to this here.
Track 3 poses the same question you'll probably be asking by the time this thing stops spinning. And the answer's simple: Your skin's falling off because the psychosis on this is contagious. No, it won't actually put bugs under your skin... you fucking moron... but it'll hypnotize you into thinking that they're there. 90 percent sure of that.
Listening to this is like being woken up mid-REM sleep; there's inevitably going to be some confusion and you'll probably catch yourself babbling more than once. It was executed well enough to trigger those gibberish lines you'll catch yourself thinking or saying sometimes when you wake up--"damn, that briefcase was over with" or "damn, Whitney Cummings is funny" or "I'd eat that grape if only there was some fucking ink for this" kind of batshit bullshit. It's potent stuff we've got ourselves here.
Stylistically? This is noisy, grinding (and occasionally slamming) death-type stuff for the most part, and yet the only band that these guys consistently remind me of on this is Continuo Renacer--a prog band first and foremost. Running with that and the whole "crazy" thing, if Continuo is Hunter Thompson-brand of batty (insane, but somehow controlled and intelligent)--sticking with old permafried dudes from the 60s--these guys are more Charlie Manson-esque. They're like Continuo's more viscerally-preoccupied, demented, and dangerous drug-sodden cousins. And I mean, lock em up and feed the key to the Rancor kind of demented.
But this is metal, not the 1960s, so I mean that in a good way. This album gets fucking brutal. They draw from the same smooth jazz muzack to set the surreal, dream-like, subconscious-autopilot atmosphere as Continuo, making everything as weird as possible, then bring out some wrecking ball riffs. And they will indeed wreck you.
This is some short, to-the-nonsense-point, violent, vile, fun stuff that's clearly off its Thorazine. Sure, it gets a little too grating sometimes and the vox-effects do get a tad annoying after a while, but it's still well worth the time investment in the end.
