Bleeding The False is a blasphemous piece wrapped in rushing music. Deicide was a really good band in the older era right? Too bad they suck now though; well, it doesn't matter because nowadays we have Aeon, a Satanic Death Metal band in the vein of the already mentioned band, I'm sure Deicide fans will go crazy about this new album.
The overall sound is rather brutal, not as violent as other Unique Leader Records bands indeed, but Aeon prints brutality in their catchiness and aggression in their breakdowns. In the end this CD is, musically, a mixture of aggressive Death Metal riffs and catchy choruses. The music is quite good, I love the way this band writes their musical structures and arrangements; there are enough twists and breakdowns in every song to please most extreme ears out there.
I saw one turn-off in Bleeding The False though, the lyrical content, there are many bands doing Satanic lyrics out there, and Aeon give us the same formula but in a gullible (almost naive) way. the lyrical content deletes credibility to the band, instead of writing about Satanism in an intelligent way Aeon decides to write about Blow Jobs performed by God "God gives head in heaven and he will swallow it all" or about a sucky missionary knocking on the vocalist door Doorknocker why do you hide from me? I miss to give you pain visit me and even he wrote a love letter to Satan himself I love you Satan?I open myself for you, I can feel you inside me?I will always love you, I think you get the idea right?
Other than that, the album is just great, and the truth is nobody gives a shit about lyrical content in the end, the really important thing in a CD is the music, and as I already said, this record has incredible tunes with awesome execution and really catchy segments, even the layout is really professional (16 pages). I can recommend you to try one of the best songs in the album, the song is Bleeding The False a great tune filled with aggressive and melodious riffs.
Final Verdict: Great music, bad lyrics.
