Eletrika is from Brazil and was created in 1998. Their first album was released in 2001 and knows a good success in Brazil. With his electronic influences Eletrika was a band really easy of access in the same vein of all the Alternative bands from USA. But at the end of 2001 Eletrika's career took a turnover. They kept the Alternative and Electronic parts but add more aggressive guitars riffs and solo.
Now Eletrika is always an alternative metal band it's true but the band is more heavy and but they are especially involved with [economical] problems in the world.

S.O.B. [read "Son Of A Bush"] is a good album of Alternative Metal. Well this is not very original it's true and sometime we are near of a lot of American bands but at less Eletrika know how to play music and they have very good lyrics.
The songs are good the musicians are also excellent and the singer has a really nice voice? Then there is no matter with S.O.B. except the fact that this album smells the MTV production. Well it's not very important but this album will not attract a lot of "pure" Metalheads. Maybe it's a shame but well there is no doubt this band is in the Alternative/Nu metal scene. But to the difference of the majority of American bands this Brazilian combo is more aggressive and more involved. The lyrics are good and it's a real good point. Besides the singer used to sing in English and Portuguese and it's really pleasant.
For the production we have a really good sound but the artwork is not very original? I think they could do better in the future.

In conclusion I can recommend this young band to all the fans of the alternative scene, S.O.B. is a good album. For the others you can pass your way.
Eletrika can do something and I'm sure that with more maturity, this band could do something very good in the future.
