From the cold landscapes of Sweden, we have a brand new doom band called Murinus. Murinus plays slow and sludgy doom metal, comparable to their fellow countrymen Ocean Chief (although they play slightly different styles of doom).

The band's first demo consists of 3 songs, but still lasts for almost 20 minutes. The songs are bone crushingly heavy, but don't be afraid because the melodies are not forgotten and they are hidden underneath the hard surface of this demo. I think my biggest complaint must be the vocals, it is not strong neither clear enough. Otherwise, the music is decent, and I can see some good talents here.

Rumours say that they have signed to Throne records and a full length album is to be expected in near future. We will have to wait and see what this band will do next because from only 3 songs all I can say is that the band has potential and the roads of success for them are open, now we have to wait and see if they develop their music in the right or wrong direction?
