Between Hard Rock, Heavy and Prog Metal, Towersound could become this year, one of the revelations of the French Metal scene. Effectively, their new and first album "Towersound" is really impressive and even if the band suffers unfortunately of a really average recording I'm ready to bet some money on this combo. The French Metal bands are more and more impressive, and believe me that Towersound follow this trend.
As I said in the introduction, "Towersound" suffers of a really average and amateurish production. That's easy to understand, actually even some Demos have a better sound and you can understand that it is a shame when you see a band with such amazing musical quality. Because yes, we have quality on this album, ALL the songs of the album are impressive and I'm sure of one thing, we will talk about this band soon.
The French trio understood how to produce something that "looks" classic but which sounds also original. Understand that even if they play Melodic Heavy, that's not so easy to find similar bands, at the opposite even if I have the feeling to know this kind of music, I try to find a name of a band that plays a music really near of the one of Towersound but I cannot find anything. Good rhythms, nice solos catchy melodies and the excellent really deep voice of Jon are the ingredients of the recipe of the music of Towersound. About the voice however I regret the French accent, that's always the same problem with a lot of French bands but I cannot avoid this little reproach. But the whole album is a real pleasure and really that's a great surprise for me.
When I say that the music is good technical original and above all well written and if I had that except the average recording all is ok in this cd (even the excellent artworks made by the band himself) do I have to add something else? I don't think so, we have a great singer and a bunch of good musicians and that's not really surprising at the end if we have a nice and emotive first album. I vote yes for Towersound and believe me, we will probably hear a lot of good things about them soon?
