Kaminari comes from the South of Germany and this formation of experimented musicians plays a classic Heavy Metal that flirts with the melodies of Hard Rock. "Faraday s Daydream" is their first release and if you like classic "old school" sound, no doubt that this album will be a must for you. Ho and I can't forget something, in Japanese, the meaning of "Kaminari" is storm, and believe me that this name is not an usurpation.
Oki oki, Kaminari is not "something" new, I mean that their music is a classic heavy Metal influenced by some melodic Hard Rock but however, nowadays with all the clones of Nightwish or In Flames it's good to find some bands that always have this Heavy Metal spirit.
The eleven songs of the CD are all really catchy, with some super melodies and actually it's really entertaining to listen to "Faraday s Daydream". If you just want an example a song like "Vampire Vanity" with its perfect singing chorus cannot be forgotten after only one listening on the other hand, the excellent and beautiful ballad "Halfway To Heaven" is a real success. You're not dreaming, we can find in this CD all the ingredients of a nice Heavy Metal production.
And no need to talk about the musicians of Kaminari. Yes, the guitarists know what is a good solo, yeah the bassist and the drummer know the word rhythm and Roland "bobbes" Seidel, the singer, is actually an interesting surprise for me. His "rock"n"roll" voice is clean as water and we will probably hear some good words about him because he is just a great Heavy Metal singer. Also the production of this album is really good and professional, in any case we can find a problem that will kill a song. That's good really.
"Faraday s Daydream" is a really nice Heavy Metal album, and to be honest I think that we will hear about Kaminari in the future. I believe in the band and I'm sure that they will probably win a good deal with a major, if the majors only understand that it's probably better to sign a band like Kaminari instead of some other trendy Goth-Gothemburg Death-Symphonic-Power ones. No the Heavy Metal spirit is not dead yet!!!
