Quite an improvement

I was somewhat disappointed when I listened Little Dead Bertha for the fist time, their album "Two Sides..." showcased some good ideas but overall lousy production, besides the fact that I found (and still find) the band name a little ridiculous (but that's the band decision and I have no saying on that issue).

A year later I received this album, entitled "Way Of Blind" and I must be honest I wasn't expecting too much either, but all that changed when I heard the Cd, it was amazing, it seemed like it was another completely different band, the production was awesome! crisp, tight sound filled with awesome vocals and moody passages, this couldn't be real.

But yes it is. Little Dead Bertha has improved a lot since my last visit to their compositions, now they're more a "band" to say it so, songs have long instrumental sections that really make my day, blast beats countered with calm passages and some spoken segments, guitars sound very front in the mix along with the drums giving an energetic sound to the band.

Vocals are beauty n' the beast style, shrieks, growls and operatic female vocals, although I could say that the band could have done it without the female vocals, I'm so tired of operatic singers, they're everywhere!

Other point to take in consideration is the visual department, the artwork and whole inlay is not too attractive, my advice for the band? Take better care of the visuals of your albums, just like you took care of the production. Good stuff for anyone looking for some Gothic Black Metal with some Doomy elements.
