Early Hardcore Albums That Helped Define My Metalness.

Thumbs up: 0
1983-1984 was my freshman year of high school. I went to a very conservative private catholic school in downtown Manhattan but don't let that impress or fool you. That first year there did however ultimately change my tastes and outlook on music. I fell in with a bunch of punk/stoner dudes who were totally different from my hardrock/metalhead friends from the neighborhood and got my first taste of underground music.
Here are some albums I first heard that year that changed my life. They all still hold a special place in my heart. I realize this is a metal site but I think all of these records have a distinct 'metalness' to them.
