A list covering my most favorite genre AND my most favorite decade?
So "thumbs up!" is obligatory, I suppose...

You should correct no. 16.
It's true that Incessant Desire For Palatable Flesh is from Austria's Visceral Evisceration, but the link is dead. They changed their name right after the release and disbanded shortly after. Now, they are filed under "As I Lay Dying (AUT)". Please don't forget the "(AUT)" or you will have some US-Metalcore in your list...

My proposals for conceivable expansions:

Tiamat - The Astral Sleep (1991)
If that is NOT death/doom than I don't know what it is...

Pyogenesis - Ignis Creatio (1992)
Just an EP but 95% death/doom. Earlier releases are rather death, later stuff has more gothic than doom.

Decomposed - Hope Finally Died... (1993)
100% death/doom

Cemetary - Godless Beauty (1993)
80% death/doom + some gothic + very little power metal. Most of the time, it feels like plain death/doom.

In Ruins - Four Seasons of Grey (1998)
According to MS it's 100% death/doom, but actually, it has some Melodeath references and most songs are either lacking significant doom or death elements.

Many thanks for the effort you put in your list!
I already knew all entries but it was fun digging in my collection again, searching for some old gems. Will listen to some God Forsaken now, their debut from 1992 would also fit very smoothly in your list (but unfornutately, the MS-database doesn't know them and many other death/doom bands of that decade are absent, too...).

It's my favorite genre and my favorite decade too.
I appreciate very much your suggestions. I don't know how i could forget Tiamat, i will listen again to their early works and will include them for sure. I don't know the other ones, so i have good times in front on me in the next days

This list is like a diary, covering the best years of my life... and most of the best albums of my life, too.
Now I urgently need some fake accounts to give some more thumbs up - again and again.

Excellent list, one of my most beloved subgenres, too.
Check out Beyond Belief - Rave the abyss, you might want to add it.
