My Dying Bride Albums Ranked

Thumbs up: +1
I'm not the biggest fan of My Dying Bride but I listened to all of their albums so this is my ranking.

1. My Dying Bride - Songs Of Darkness, Words Of Light
The band managed to concentrate all its qualities in this breathtaking album. [8.4]
2. My Dying Bride - The Dreadful Hours
This is probably my favorite period of My Dying Bride, when they were at the top of their game. [8.1]
3. My Dying Bride - The Light At The End Of The World
This is the album that opens the golden age of the band. [8.1]
4. My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans
My favorite of their early ones, since their style from that era isn't my favorite. [7.9]
5. My Dying Bride - The Angel And The Dark River
It was during this period that the band became known and rightly so! We already felt that My Dying Bride was going to become legendary. [7.8]
6. My Dying Bride - A Mortal Binding
Very surprisingly, they managed to emerge from a rather disappointing period with the return of the style that propelled them into festival headliners. [7.8]
7. My Dying Bride - Like Gods Of The Sun
We already feel that the band is gradually changing its style in this album, personally I have always found it appreciable but I have difficulty seeing the enthusiasm it arouses. [7.7]
8. My Dying Bride - Feel The Misery
Listening to this album we have a little hope because it is the best since what I would call a "low" period, so it does us good. [7.5]
9. My Dying Bride - As The Flower Withers
Their debut album really has nothing special, and even if it already has many of the elements that made the band famous, it didn't particularly strike me [7.5]
10. My Dying Bride - A Line Of Deathless Kings
It's the last interesting album before a less innovative and productive period, it represents a bit of the point of no return, where the band enters a period of uncertainty. [7.4]
11. My Dying Bride - The Ghost Of Orion
With a more modern production, the band finds a little color, it gets closer to the style we know, the one that it had lost until then. [7.1]
12. My Dying Bride - 34.788%... Complete
Rather disappointing album, until then the band did not have a passable album and between their two golden ages, My Dying Bride gives us an album that misses the essential, whereas until now the band had not disappointed. It's a shame. [6.7]
13. My Dying Bride - For Lies I Sire
We feel that My Dying Bride has been lost, all their charm has gone with this tasteless album, and it will take a long time for them to recover. [6.4]
14. My Dying Bride - A Map Of All Our Failures
This one represents the band well at this period, the album is there, but its existence doesn't matter to me. [6.3]
15. My Dying Bride - Evinta
With Evinta, they have hit rock bottom, they have lost all their bearings, the band is not sure of what they are doing. It's really an empty album, empty of meaning first of all, but also empty musically. They try to make you believe that they have something when in reality we only listen to wind, and the worst is that it's their longest album, and that revolts me. How is it that when they have the least to offer, they give us a bad 1h30 album? A real mystery. [4.5]

Like this list. Have always been a great MDB fan, maybe until recently. I like your elaborate comments on the albums. And I appreciate the fact that you made this effort though you dont seem to be a particular fan of the band.
As for your ranking, it is more or less the popular take, I would say. And it differs greatly from my ranking -- I have their mid nineties albums on top, plus I like For lies I Sire quite a bit. But that doesnt matter much here. Always good to read about how people see the MDB discography.
