Space Metal! ***Currently working through suggestions and adding some spacey non-metal things when they cross my mind***
As a lover of all things sci-fi I find metal to be the most accommodating of genres when it comes to themes of space/aliens. This is a list of those albums which use this theme and/or evoke an overall 'spacey' atmosphere and which I find particularly intriguing and enjoyable. No order for now and a work in progress (recommendations most welcome) Last Updated: 9th April 2014

A Brutal Poem Of Technicalities (Ordered By Years) So here are some Brutal, Technical, Progressive and sometimes Atmospheric death metal works I enjoy or that I believe should be given a try because they're unique and interesting, almost an essentials list when it comes to that style. There are some unorthodox choices as well in the mix that aren't just full-on tech death, some bands also incorporate grind, black, core elements or even jazz. Hope you'll all find something that suits your taste! The list is ordered by years. Feel free to comment and give recommendations! Just refrain from telling me an album shouldn't be featured here... All the albums here are deliberately hand-picked and if it made the list, it's for a reason.
Personal absolute favorites of mine have a ★ beside the genre. And my pics of best album for each year are identified by (best of xxxx) beside the albums. 🇨🇦 = From Canada, My Country! We're quite good at Technical and Brutal Death Metal... Trust me. I mean, you'll see for yourself. -Guib- - - - - - - - - - - - Guib's Best Tech/Brutal/Prog Death Metal Album Picks Best Of 2023: The Zenith Passage - Datalysium Best of 2024 So Far: Exist - Hijacking The Zeitgeist - - - - - - - - - - - TAGS: Technical Death Metal, Melodic Tech-Death, Brutal, Atmospheric, Progressive, Blackened Tech-Death, Technical Thrash, Deathgrind, Deathcore, Symphonic, Dissonant Tech-Death, Experimental, Avantgarde, Grindcore, Jazz Last Updated: May 7th, 2024

Technical Madness This is a list dedicated to everything crazy, eclectic and technical. I know there are many many more albums that could be added, but these are the ones I personally recommend. One album per band order by the level of "technical madness" (whatever that metric is).

Top Technical Death Metal Albums Of All Time- Order In Chaos ! Definitive Top Technical Death Metal.
MARVELS of human creation and imagination. This list is subject to occasional additions and negations. Includes slight deviations having progressive, jazz-rock, Avant-Garde influences but sticking to Technical Death in its core. This is MY OWN list. You could always make your own if you beg to disagree of the order. Comments to include stuff welcome ! ORDER IN CHAOS - Technical Death Metal.

The Bestest Metal Of 2011 I don't have this in any special order. Seems like 2011"s flavor for metal has been Death, Prog and Thrash.and that's good with me.I feel in most part the up and coming bands have out did their idols, that's a good thing!!!!

Divine Code For The Comfort Of Cowards : Best Of Death Metal In 2011 No word from DM giants like Gorguts, Quo Vadis, Cryptopsy, Viraemia, The Faceless, Augury, Kronos, Martyr.Yet DM unleashed an entire fleet of some mighty monsters, minions, imps and all sort of decibel devils.
This list includes everything from Post-death to Old school death n roll records.I also kinda like slick production a little better, not that i despise the rough one.It depends on the what kind of vibe the album tries to convey.
