Technical death metal isn't the easiest style to write memorable songs in; however, adding a bit of meloblack and folk metal to the equation works wonders for Stortregn.

Yes ! Great album! Immediately ordered CD. It is catchy, it it has a soul, good melodies and rifs. Its pleasure to found golden nugget like this in the river of shitty metal releases nowadays
Perfect!

The meloblack infusion really makes this tech-death sound one of the most interesting I've heard in quite a while, really fine record

Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's "too many notes". A little bit of edit could make longer songs better.

It's truely like one big song. Instead of listening to individual songs it's better to listen to this album as a whole. Also the track Multilayered Chaos has such a cool Vektor feel.

Vektor came to my mind at "Multilayered Chaos"
and the 2 minutes of "Impermanence" is like a tribute to Obscura.

How one can give this a freaking 10/10 ?
"Ghosts Of The Past" was pretty good and there were some other good moments here and there, but overall it's boring and uninteresting and the songs are all kinda the same to me.

This is a great release, kinda like a blackened Quo Vadis at times. There's a ton of layering involved but it's never too overly complex, it has some outstanding melodic guitar work, and a rhythm that flows excellently. This is not always the easiest style for me to get into, but this particular release is made exceptionally well I must say. Obviously it's not something I can spin repeatedly, as the jamming can seriously make my head spin over time, but for a now and again listen it's pretty great.

"Timeless Splendor" and "Grand Nexion Abyss" are main stand outs for me
