This is brillant.

After my first listen I'm a little disappointed. It seems like they got rid of most of their folk influence and focused on the melodic black metal part. The spoken part in the last track is annoying as well. I guess I just don't need to be reminded what a shit show the world has been lately.

I hade impression that somehow guitar melodies are best comparing to other their albums. More I listen more I like this

A superb record. Even with the "Dire Straits bits", as nine called them. Excellent production that might repel the kvlt purists but with the over saturated Melodic Black Metal genre, Wormwood retain some originality.

This is such a good album, and the "The Slow Drown" is epic. And for me this is better than Harakiri For The Sky A.D. 2021.

Thise guitar riffs are tasty.

When you take your black metal and put some modern rock and melodeath into it, and somehow you get it to work, the result can be awesome. As it is. Wormwood shines on their unique style with a bunch of well crafted songs, catching melodies and some interesting fusion without going too cheesy or bland. However, I find Akivet a bit too long and some of the songs less interesting compared to others.

I wish I could vote Overgrouth as the best melodeath song of the year.

It's a grower for sure. From 8 to 9 with a few more listens.

Slow grower but its worth the spins. Beautiful MBM but seems like their 'atmospheric' part missing their folk touch they had in their previous albums. Still great listen.
