LOVE ❤️❤️🖤: Amazing release with very few flaws.
LIKE ❤️🖤🖤: Enjoyable but far from perfect.
DISLIKE 💔: Not very good or maybe not fitting my tastes.

I've decided to stop rating albums with a numerical value as I tend to feel uncomfortable with that system. This list has a minimalistic, subjective and visceral approach, based purely on sensations and personal tastes. I constantly revisit new releases so first impressions may change over time. It usually takes 3-4 spins for me to get completely sure of a rating.

Disclaimer: ❤️🖤🖤 is NOT a bad score. It's a good score. When I like an album, it means I actually like it. I enjoyed it and will be pleased to listen to it from time to time. Most of the time it all comes down to personal tastes.

I like your system here. It's basically how I'm organizing my ratings:
10-worship album;
9-love album;
8-like album;
7-(like a few songs, dislike other songs);
6-dislike album

Yeah, I usually find my self uncomfortable with the 1-10 scale, specially when rating albums out of my comfort zone. Many times I find my self disliking an album I think it's "objectively" good (7) or loving a 8 album. And very few albums I worship are really perfect (10) even to me. At the end of the day everything comes down to these four impressions.
