An early contender for 2022’s best folk metal album comes from the very Nordic lands of... The Netherlands.

The cover art looks like the one from Duskmourn Fallen Kings and Rusted Crowns, think I've mentioned it before though

The last 4 songs are symphonic garbage. Be warned!

They're bonus tracks, symphonic versions of the album tracks, released on a separate CD in the physical release. First six tracks are the actual album.

It looks like his copy and pasted the background, it's still a cool scenery though, I like it

Really enjoy this album a good mix of Wintersun,Ensiferum & Finsterforst. You can stay in your studio Jari wre don't need you anymore

I will never understand why some people give a low rating to an album just because they don't like the bonus tracks. If you don't like them just delete them. That's why they're at the end of the album.

The last 4 songs are symphonic garbage. Be warned!

They are actually the full orchestrations and other folk instruments that are in the actual Metal songs but just not that hearable because of the band mix!
They are indeed the bonus disc, feel free to skip it! We asked our 'fans' and 'followers' if they wanted an extra CD released with these versions, that's why it's included as the 2nd CD on the physical release.
I do hope you like the metal songs

That's a huge compliment, thank you very much! <3 Even though we really look up to Jari, his composition and song writing skills are god-like

Great material here. As mentioned before, it borrows a lot from Wintersun and Ensiferum (I might add Equilibrium to the list), and while it's not at the same level of those bands at their peak, I'd rather listen to this than to Ensiferum's Unsung Heroes or Wintersun's The Forest Seasons. Vocals could be better. Love the production, clean and epic sounding. Overall a very fun album, I hope in the future they're blessed with that little spark of creativity to differentiate their sound from others. 7.8

This is good, what band is it Heidevolk? neverminded, good album, now Holland has 2 equally good FM bands... but those last folk metal parts instrumental ruined album a bit . it could be CD 2 or in that case.

One of the better albums I have heard in this genre in a while. Great production and songwriting. Has a lot of similar sound to bands like Wintersun, Equilibrium, Moonsorrow and Ensiferum. I discovered this band thanks to the drummer who streams on Twitch, he's such a incredible drummer and nice dude.

What a debut. Many bands on this branch end up boring me when they start to drop endless folky passages that disrupt the album's overall flow. This is not the case. The whole thing is invested with character and strength because the folk and symphonic elements elevate the metal instruments and the vocals instead of suffocate them. Catchy melodies, powerful riffs, great performance, the full pack. Yeah, the Wintersun vibes are great as stated above.

A great album, one of my instant favorites of the year so far.

This somehow passed me by until now - really fun album, bombastic symphonic folk/melodeath. A bit of a mix of Wintersun's Time and Equilibrium's Sagas

Fantastic album, which I feel will become a victim of becoming overlooked imo. The folk influences are truly amazing, and the symphonies work brilliantly with the instruments, giving this such an epic adventure feeling which i'm actually getting Summoning vibes from. And the melodies too are astonishing. Imo this band could become the next Ensiferum.

The last four tracks could of been cut imo, they were a nice touch, but perhaps would of been better released only on a bonus edition, as it makes the album alot more lengthy than it needs to be.

On the phyiscal release the last four tracks are on a separate CD, they're bonus tracks and no part of the actual album.
