This is the second real album for the true doom/death Irish band Mourning Beloveth... And this is the kind of album you can expect from an experienced band that has already released a bunch of cds, over a period of ten years. But here, after only a few years of existence, these five depressive guys have released what is meant to be a new doom milestone, the album to which a whole generation will pledge allegiance.

As far as death doom metal goes, it doesn't get much better than this. Totally brilliant album and at that the best album of Mourning Beloveth for sure. I agree with the 9.5 rating of the review here.

Pretty convincing one. Consistent through out; not a single moment where they are losing me (with the exception of track 05 maybe, where I tend to get distracted at times, but they are making up for this with the brilliant album closer). Only marginally outperformed by their excellent debut. But clearly superior to any MB that followed up.

Edit:
Well, this is actually more than "pretty convincing". It is excellent. Probably even their best, at least in no terms behind the debut (which is obviously also excellent, though).

Actually it can only go worst, and it has, modern death/doom bands turn more to death metal, has less doom touch. I dont like this album artwork, IMO it fits DM more, but rest, music, emotions, riffs, its simply brilliant old school doom, mid 90's people will remeber and understand. To all who were young or child in mid 90's

I found this one hard to get in to initially, but once my expectations slowed to its pace I actually quite enjoyed it.

8.5/10 leaning slightly towards an 8 for me.

Those lyrics are deep, intelligent and creative. They make this album better.

Same like many that period doom bands wrote. Todays lyrics are not the same, seems they are just a lyrics.
