An 80-minute djent album: who thought that was a sensible idea?

Ok, I see a pattern here:
2011
2021

I predict new "hjarta album for 2031.

I tried already released songs and I am not hyped at all. I am afraid that it's going to be only a "solid" album, rather than groundbreaking Måsstaden. Time will either confirm or not.

80 minutes of complex djent crunch is an awful lot to digest, a bit too much really. Still, they sound meaty as hell here

A little disappointing, but then again there are bands that are holding the torch for them...Indistinct and Stoort Neer (HLB and Vild members lol) for example.

Perfect. Likely to end up my AOTY. So much great, diverse content while also managing to be a cohesive album overall. Despite the length, I can see myself listening to this from start to finish many times over the next few months.

If you got through this album without killing yourself I applaud you. I hate this with all my heart. 10 years between albums is not long enough. Make it stop

Man, this album sounded kinda cool but after some time it sort of started to get boring. Still full points for their efforts.

Well, this album is absolutely massive in almost every aspect - also massive in length and I still have not decided if that is good or bad. I am listening to the MSA nominees during work a little bit and I was surprised that it caught my attention quite often, even though I wasn't paying full attention. It really is weird to describe after a more thorough listen, it's very same-y but still filled with nice memorable bits. But the chaotic structure makes it very difficult to identify which song you're listening to, if you don't already know fair bits by heart (which I don't). I still really enjoy it.

Would be better if there was more to differentiate the songs. It all blends and turns into background noise at some point.
