This is well Matt is good singer fits in US PM but somehow he needs better song writter, this sounds as IE but problem is even Jon is dushbag he is much better song writer, I ddont rememer when IE wrote bad album, but this few songs to long.

Why Matt does have to make those high-pitched reinforcements in his vocal lines? That makes so cringey the songs somehow.

Well, the production killed this one. Vocals sound flat (and vocal layering is way overused), the instruments don't seem to fit together, everything is way more compressed than it should. Meanwhile, even though the music is neither original nor outstanding, there's some pretty good tunes here. Overall good album with very good moments here and there, and it would sound much better with a proper production. 7.3

Matt Barlow has shown his a good singer for IE, but his vocal performance here is not good imo, maybe the poor production doesn't give him much justice. And your right about him needing a better songwriter, he misses Jon's riffs.

Yeah, Schaffer is my all time favorite songwriter, a shame he went crazy. He is out now- hopefully he got his life together and Iced Earth can reunite. That would be my dream to see them live with Barlow on vocals.
If not I'd love to see Barlow go back to Pyramaze. That album was incredibly underrated.

I don't think so, reunion means you agree whit his comes only Anselmo might be willing to sign.

Don't be ridiculous. Schaffer has crazy beliefs, but they are not Anselmo Nazi beliefs.
