I can't remember how their previous albums sound, but this is lighter and more melancholic than I expected, with quite a bit of blackgaze along with the Gojira-isms and sludge. I like it quite a bit though

This is definitely “softer” than previous records, and I’m not a fan of the pseudo “Gojira” riffs that overwhelms some songs … but man, WHAT AN ATMOSPHERE …
“Nonchalantes De Beauté” is a both beautiful and angry, a standout for me.
8.5/10

Ah interesting I was coming here to mention how heavier this sounds to me ^^ The production is massive, and gives the whole album an intensity that I didn't find on the previous ones. This is my favourite album from Celeste so far I think.

That was intense yet atmospheric enough to breathe. I'd like to see more contrast in vocals (that small clean female vocals in Le Cœur Noir Charbon gives a nice touch, it'd be interesting to explore that more / try some clean male vocals / change the growl style at times). 7.9 from me

Decent sludge, heavy enough but nothing groundbreaking.

I'm getting adventurous and listening to genre's out of my comfort zone, so far I'm not too impressed with what I've heard, I'm hoping a few of these new releases will grow on me over time, but for now I'm sticking by my average ratings for most of what I've heard.

First time listening to Celeste - very cool! Didn't understand a word of what they said, but that's the beauty of music: you can convey profound emotions regardless of a common language

I saw these in London yesterday and boy o boy, were they good! They reminded me a lot of their countrymen Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, and that's just fine by me.
I shall be spending a lot of this week checking out their back catalogue now.

They're quite something live with those red headlights aren't they?

I didn't like this album at all in the first two listens but in the third listen things started falling into place and I started liking it. It sounds like a very intense Gojira. Also I saw some live videos in YouTube, they are really dope.
