Not a massive classic album after the first listens. It does have the recognizable Voivod sound with some interesting songwriting ideas and it has their trademark weird guitar playing. Could be a little bit too proggy for it's own good resulting in some of the songs not being too impressive and not having some memorable aspects to them.

I've never been a fan of Voivod but I do enjoy many, many types of progressive metal. This isn't one of them. Sounds like a disjointed mess

Voivod had always been a special band. Maybe this ones a bit overrated. I liked the last 2 albums more

Now, I've been struggling with this one and I listen to this a lot lately because it simply kept escaping me and I thought bu sheer measure of just listening and memorizing it will discover itself...and I listen to Voivod since "Nothingface", you know, it just HAS to have something in it... OMG this is such a GREAT piece of music once you get a hold of it, just awesome music! The best produced album from the band that always had unique sound, for that matter also. I will never understand how it came to be that such an innovative, creative guitarist as Piggy has been was replaced by exactly the same measure of talent and creativity in Chewy, if not even more. Same thing for Rocky, if we're honest. All the guys simply at the top of their game. This is really 10/10 as was "The Wake", I really love when old bands just somehow keep getting better, more musical and technical, energetic.
