I find this a very frustrating listen. The sounds quality is very good, the thick, heavy bass and guitar tone are spot on, the drumming is excellent too, but the songwriting is nothing special.
I'm not so keen on the slow funeral doom parts, as they tend to drag on for too long imo, making the album become a bore, and sound dreary. But there are sections when the riffs, drumming and bass really kick in, and up the tempo, and the album starts to become a wee bit more enjoyable.
The vocals bore me slightly, I suppose it's because the tone pretty much stays the same throughout.
