Hmm...I find this album slightly overrated! (puts flame suit on) I prefer Better Off Dead myself, and some of the later albums, like Code Red. The title track, Tired And Red, and Exhibition Bout though, are absloute classic thrash songs though, and among Sodom's best! Frank Blackfire was just what the band needed at that point. This album, and Persecution Mania were far superior to what came before them! xD

Pretty good but not as great as I was expecting. My leaast favorite aspect is the constant changes in speed......JUST STAY FAST.

I feel they're kind of uninspired. Like they lack the thrashing energy that would make you headbang like crazy.

Its in fact Persecution mania 2, but more mature and with a clearer production. With Extreme agression the best thrash metal album of 1989.

Overrated but even very good
agent orange(song) sounds a little bit like death squad from sacred reich
A little bit? Its exactly the same riff, the intro to that song is a slightly modified version of 'In My Darkest Hour' (Megadeth). They imitated many other riffs from other bands too.

I've stopped listening to a lot of old school thrash but some albums like this and mostly Slayer's back catalog still get some attention. Too good to forget about.

What a classic! Best Teutonic thrash I am aware of. The Tank cover falls a bit out of range here. Exhibition Bout probably dispensable, Incest maybe too. Other than that, masterpiece (in particular the title track). Somewhere aoround 9.0 for me.

The fuck do you mean the fire doesn't burn.. This album burns and forces you to bang your head like there is no tomorrow.

You are not metal enough until you visit Kenya. The cradle of mankind, where man learnt first to work with stones and first enjoyed the sounds produced by banging stones which later influenced metal in all its sounds and genres.

I first found this pretty boring. But now I find it quite good It grows on me. The guitar sound is pretty excellent
My favorites are "Magic Dragon", "Agent Orange", "Tired and Red", and "Remember the Fallen". "Baptism of Fire" is also good
Perhaps slightly overrated, but on MS it's rightfully below Beneath the Remains and Altars of Madness for 1989

This is an onslaught of ferocious speedy riffs, it's flipping great speedy stuff really, and the vocals aren't bad, but I've heard much better, and the lyrics and songwriting seem a bit on the generic side. I still prefer Kreator, but I can see me warming to them.

Oh yeah this album sounds surprisingly great after a long time away from it. One moment it sounds almost bay area style thrash, then after like blackened thrash and vice versa, and the occasional but rare punk influences are welcome addition too.

Not quite get the appeal of this record as it sounds pretty derivative. Magic Dragon has the best gallop riff ever.
