There is a certain adrenaline rush when the tags ‘crossover’, ‘hardcore’, and ‘thrash metal’ are mentioned in the same sentence. High Command introduced a near perfect mix of these styles with their debut LP, Beyond The Wall Of Desolation, and they are now adding to that sound with Eclipse Of The Dual Moons.

Bad English

This is good thrashing crossover music, good energy, good song writing. If only 80's, early 90's crossovers would have digital possibility to record, it would be days

Non stop wild and crazy thrash, it's so energetic and aggressive from beginning to end, even if it's a tad repetitive

Yeah, thrash was pretty much asleep for the whole year with very few exceptions, and then we got Daeva, SpiritWorld, Deströyer 666, and the crème de la crème, High Command, right before the end.

I don't know of Daeva. I'll check them next. Actually after SpiritWorld as I already have it in queue... and honestly only because of the cool album cover

Absolute banger and AOTY contender. I hope that megadeth and kreator diehard fans don't interfere too much with the results of MSA

I thought SpiritWorld was the Aoty contender but now I sm confused.

Don't understand all the buzz here, just a slow, run of the mill, thrash metal album that only goes downhill after the second song.

Metal Addiction
The movement of thrash metal revivalism has sounded a bit corny and obsolete nowadays. The successful revivalists like Bonded By Blood, Vektor, Lazarus A.D., Municipal Waste, etc in the 2000s made us reminiscent of the good old days of the legendary bands performing in the art of thrashing. But the rise of this revivalism has been daunted in the past few years. In that sense, this album must be joyful to those who have been thirsty for quality thrash metal music.

The first, second and last tracks are my favourite. The other tracks are also fine. Some of the riffs are very very cool, especially when it slows down in eclipse of the dual moon.

Damn another brilliant thrash album for High Command. Boxcar and Chapu, you both need to fix them ears ASAP.

Though BW is right, this one is drifting from the crossover field and shifting a lot more towards blackened thrash compared to their debut. Which is by no means a bad thing.

Awesome release!
