It’s been over a decade since we last reviewed a Hypno5e record on Metal Storm. It’s certainly not been for a lack of review-worthy material, as the French ensemble have continued to impress across the years since, but if any of their recent albums have deserved to have the spotlight on them, it’s Sheol. Slower than most of what I listen to, but still really got its hooks in me despite that, let it spin a few times, it's a grower. Lava from the Sky is the standout track imo

Unfortunately I found this album to be missing something to latch on to, a similar response I get from Tool's music (Although returning to Tool feels like a nightmare). I feel like there's a lot of potential here though, so I'll definitely give this a few more listens in the next few months.
