The engine briefly ran quiet, but the Death Engine is back in action, returning with Ocean. It’s been a long time since we last checked in with this band, so what better time than now to see what they’re up to?

This is the second post-metal band that I discovered in 2015, enjoyed the debut of, missed a 2018 album of, and that now has an album coming out in 2023 - bit odd. Both have produced solid albums to show what I've been missing out on in the interim. Death Engine seem to have moved further from hardcore and noise rock towards post-metal on this album, but it's still got enough of each element to allow the band to stand out from the masses
