I'm very much into folk metal but this album just doesn't quite sit right with me. Sure, there's some fantastic traditional folk instrumentation in certain parts, and some impressive musicianship skills on display, but on the grand scale the songwriting is just way too experimental and over the top for my liking, which due to the amount of tracks I find disrupts the momentum and flow slightly unfortunately.
