Gothic metal and I never really got along - I always found it overbearingly cheesy and boring...that is, until I heard this record. Take my word for it when I say that any fan of gothic, prog, or theatrical music will adore this record. Olvido pushes the limits of gothic, earning themselves the progressive tag. Refreshing song-structures, whimsical yet fitting changes in vibe and tempo, creative riffage, and theatrical yet monstrous male vocals make this record the beast that it is. Despite being released over a year ago, this is certainly going to be one of my favourite discoveries of 2015.
