"Diabolus Ex Machina" is one of those awesome DM releases with an average cover artwork. It is easy to overlook it and miss out. Once you give it a spin you are in for a quite exciting sonic journey. Almost 50 minutes of frantic, mostly very catchy DM which falls somewhere in-between old school and contemporary approach. There ain't a ton of wild solos in it if that is your thing. I am still hesitant to give it 9 stars but I can tell you that it is an underappreciated release for sure. It ain't perfect but it's certainly worth your while if extreme brutal music suits you! I will definitely keep an eye on Fleshworks and dive deeper into their relatively modest (in terms of quantity) discography in the future. 8.5/10
