With a stripped-down approach, a significantly reduced number of guests and a rawer production than on previous albums, 40 Watt Sun delivers yet another emotional ride with Little Weight. But this time with more, ehm, weight.

Nothing special, not metal anymore but its slow and has emotional touch in the vocals . They never will do anymore The Inside Room. Its sad.

I'm currently working on the review (and interview with Pat! :O ) so I've been listening to it a lot these past weeks. I had the feeling you would like this one much more. Same goes to everyone who didn't like the previous one.

It's easily the most distorted (cuz using the word "heavy" feels wrong) 40 Watt Sun album since the debut. Half A World Away in particular is so beautiful. Love the guitars on that one.

Tha fuck is Slowcore? We learn something every day.

It's indie rock that's characterized by subdued, often sombre songwriting and slow tempos. Think of stuff like Low, Red House Painters, Carissa's Wierd, or Duster. Some of them are some of my favorite albums of all time.

Such a beautiful and mesmerizing album, the soft tempo, the wonderfully crafted intstrumentation, and the vocals, all make such a satisfyingly tranquil experience.

I was not really taken by "Perfect Light", but it was quite warm in tone.

This one, however, has its moments. "Astoria" is one that comes to my mind.

Slowcore. hmm, my first time hearing about it. These guys are the only bands listed on Metalstorm in that genre though. Is this like a subgenre of Doom?

I have to check this album out now

It's not a metal subgenre. More like a slower version of indie rock. Try stuff like Low and Red House Painter to get an idea.
