This album contains the final sounds of a doomed world, at the terminus of all paradises lost. At Shadow Zion.

This might be their best album. Doesn't have the same density of super catchy banger hook driven tracks as some of the predecessors (fowler, trinity, styx etc) but from front to back this is album is just about perfect, never gets old, even the slower middle track kills it. I was actually excited to get to work this morning and starting looping this, very little impresses my black soul these days, but this did. I am on like my 20th spin rn

Oh man! That was total music.

Yeah they were fantastic weren't they - loved the stage setup as well with the drums front and center and the vocalist towering over the crowd within the fog

as the year comes to an end, this is certainly my AOTY. all the elements are perfectly crafted, has everything I like about BM.
The Damascene Conversions might be my most played track of 2024.

And naturally this one is my PM AOTY.

A band that has been consistently awesome for the past 5 years.

Not quite my overall gig of the year (that was one of either Depeche Mode, Springsteen or The Jesus & Mary Chain), but Panzerfaust were also my live metal band of the year.

This album has grown on me a lot. I gave it enough time and it rewarded me massively. To Shadow Zion is also such a perfect closing track. I have to relisten to the rest of the discography with more attention.

There’s something very Anaal Nathrakh-ish about this album that I really like.

There’s something very Anaal Nathrakh-ish about this album that I really like.

Very bizzare comparison. Panzerfaust here is more brooding, atmospheric, and layered, and they emphasize more on dissonance, long build-ups, and oppressive ambiance rather than pure speed and aggression. I don't know if you have paid attention to it, even the production is more organic layered on space and weight rather than on overwhelming sonic density.

I didn't find anything-ish about Anaal here you made it.

Your reading comprehension skills have failed you once again. "Anaal Nathrakh-ish" does not necessarily imply "This sounds exactly like Anaal Nathrakh". On certain sections when they do go fast, it just happens to remind me of AN.

Also you can't lie to yourself and say that "Occams Fucking Razor" doesn't read like an AN song title.
