I work for stare and don't care about private companies, I get paid sometime more as private workers, sometimes less, btw it's much safer as private

Bombardier used to be the largest employer in my town when they bought out BR, but now the factory is not even the quarter of the size it once was.

Even more ironic, the contract was for Montreal, where Bombardier was headquartered.

Yes it was Bombardier at the time, now Alstom. I worked there and was laid off just before Christmas in 2019.

Is it Bombardier? They also recently lost a pretty big contract in Germany iirc.

We should have had Canadian content laws in place for contracts like this, it only benefits everyone in Canada.

This situation is absurd to me. This company builds trains in Canada, and lost a contract for a Canadian city to China. It's so frustrating.
