This is unequivocally my favorite of theirs and one of my top favorites to loop for awhile now. Their others are all solid at times but overall hit or miss, this one is outstanding from start to finish. I like the ghostly female vocals in this one a lot, it's a shame they're almost completely absent in later releases. It also has plenty of black metal elements but nonetheless keeps a nice melodic vibe. Doesn't descend into boring black metal dronyness like their earlier releases. For the record, the scream at the beginning of the last track, "Quasi Putrefaction," is twenty seconds long. It's a riot when you're listening for it and wondering when it's going to end. Beats Quo Vadis "Silence Calls the Storm" by a whopping two seconds, not that I'm counting.
