Anaal Nathrakh is a powerhouse of raw, furious noise that achieves something very few bands can accomplish in a world where so many boundaries have already been crossed: it is frightening to witness. Not only does In The Constellation Of The Black Widow contain prime examples of musicianship and masterful songwriting, but its sound is something truly evil. There is an atmosphere of despair, anger, and utter damnation that permeates every note and emanates from its very soul.

Got Mayhem?
This album is indeed quite brutal. One of the best parts is in the latter half of Blood Eagles Carved On The Backs Of Innocents where the band comes together perfectly in a meld of pure vitriolic fury.

Their magnum opus. The music is beyond mortal comprehension. It's terrifying, intense and above all extremely energetic and catchy. And by catchy I don't just mean the glorious clean vocal choruses that sound like beautiful hymns, but also the riffage and rhythms. More Of Fire Than Blood is a prime example of these two elements combined. The production is tight and absolutely crushingly tense. It just rips your skin and tears it into a black hole.

Masterpiece.

Like 'Hell is Empty...' this album has more melody and clean vocals than ever before, and also is used very well with the Black metal influences. However, some songs still don't quite match up to the standard of others, and no matter how much V.I.T.R.I.O.L. screams his lungs out, it just doesn't level itself with the quality set on the band's first few albums.

Less coherent than Anal Cunt.

Eric Brecht once liked my Facebook comment. Therefore, by the translative property, Chuck Schuldiner like my comment.

Their worst, but hey: that's not saying much. A pretty consistently good album from start to finish.
