No you are not ... can't seem to understand why everyone goes coco for this album , Katatonia worship to the level of boredom

oh right... I don't like Katatonia, no wonder I don't like it haha. Was kinda disappointed with this album because I checked out Silent Stage first and thought it was really good and expected it to be better since the ratings are higher

This album is much weaker than their debut, it's often repetitive and at times lacks the atmosphere that was beautifully created on their first album.

No you're not.
I prefer Silent Stage, too. But actually this album is not bad at all. It's just less accessible then Silent Stage.
It needs some time.

Well, this sounds pretty much like if katatonia never abandoned the harsh sound from brave murder day, which is a album i love. Besides, the vocals are as good as Akerfelds (comparing with BMD) and the production is much better (Yeah Swanö is musical genius, but his engineering skills are meh). And yeah, i agree, that it might sound repetitive, but i think, that its casused by this trance-like tempo, which had been used to evoke this "loneliness" feeling on MDB as well

8.5/10 leaning towards an 8. A great album but not as outstanding as Futile or Silent Stage.
