Perfect atmosphere, well crafted riffs, I always enjoy this album. Couldn't resist giving it 11 out of 10.

Just really dont see the appeal in this at all. I'm not the biggest grunge fan in the world but I like most acts at least a bit. This is mostly boring with lame vocals to boot.

Badmotorfinger-era Chris Cornell is a lame vocalist? That's an interesting opinion. I can't say I've heard of many people that would agree with you. Some of the vocal performances he gives on this album (especially Jesus Christ Pose) are phenomenal and rival some of his performances on the earlier records (Beyond the Wheel, Smokestack Lightning, I Awake, Full on Kevin's Mom, etc.).

Yeah, this album is pretty damn excellent. Cornell is on top form here, particularly on Slaves & Bulldozers for me. Hella gritty screeches, and that range. Oy.

Soundgarden was never a very immediate band for me either tbh, unlike stuff like Pearl Jam. I appreciated this album on a more gradual scale.

Well strangely it really becomes better the more I listen to it, despite its simplicity. I never really cared about them over the years but I thought I would give them a go again since it was ages since I last did that. I think this album is just on par with Pearl jam, AiC etc. Perhaps a bit more metal sounding than other grunge acts.

Yeah they definitely have a strong metal vein running though them (although they do have the odd really punky track here and there).

Heavy, grungy, with excellent riffs and vocals. A really awsome work from of one the most relevant bands of the Grunge movement of the 90´s.

I might have owned this album 20+ years, but I'm appreciating it now more than I ever did. Chris is still greatly missed.

Soundgarden, at its pinnacle, delivered one of the best recorded albums ever. Superunknown comes very close by, but I never found Cornell sounded better here than ever.
