Soundgarden - Trivia

Before joining Soundgarden as a bass player, Ben Shepherd served time as a roadie for Nirvana during their early days (and was considered at one point to join as a rhythm guitarist).
Soundgarden called it quits in 1997. On January 1, 2010, Chris Cornell posted an ambiguous message on his MySpace page. Actually, this was just an announcement that the Fan-Club is active again. However, an official re-union was eventually confirmed.
Chris Cornell did the theme song for the James Bond movie "Casino Royale". He has also released three solo studio albums "Euphoria Morning", "Carry On" and "Scream".
Chris Cornell sang for the hard rock group Audioslave (which featured all the members of Rage Against The Machine other than Zack de la Rocha) between 2002 and 2007. He left because of "personality conflicts as well as musical differences" and the group is believed to have split up.
Soundgarden named theselves after wind-channeling pipe sculpture, "A Sound Garden".
Before Soundgarden was formed, Chris Cornell (Vocals) and Hiro Yamamoto (Bass) formed a cover band named The Shemps, which featured Yamamoto as the Bassist and Cornell not only as the singer, but also as the drummer.
