Summoning The Bygones is another one of those releases that feels like it's a lot of really interesting, well-thought out components, combined together make an underwhelming experience, all things considered.
I understood that this is a re-recording of their debut plus a couple of new songs (and Dan Swano as a guest vocalist). should be interesting but I kinda wished that they would move on from their older stuff and build upon the great Sudden Death Syndrome

Really? where did you get that from? but I hope it's true because I really enjoyed their "Dysphoria"(with shitty production), more than their "Sudden Death Syndrome".

Somewhere in Jorzine actually
I did not like Dysphoria at first but then it kinda clicked on me , hope it sounds better in this release

Written by Nightfall on 01.07.2012 at 14:41 Somebody hasn't noticed yet the amount of accounts created for the mere purpose of rating this album a 10? I've seen vote abuse, but just went too far...
PM me with the list of duplicate accounts and I'll look into their ratings after work.

First impression was a big disappointment because I found it to be disjointed and missing flow, but it really grew on me with time, will probably end up with an 8

I was extremely surprised by this band, the album is extremely enjoyable with great progression to keep me engaged to the end; looking forward to hearing more from them.
The drumming on this album sucked for me. boring as hell, i love the guitar playing and general atmosphere but the drumming killed it for me. you keep thinking "oh man this would be a great time for a nice black metal fill here or there" and it never comes.
I like parts of songs and the entirety of "Hypia" in which Dan Swanö does guest vocals. The instrumentation is nice as well as the sound, but the compositions are often meandering.
