So, who's done the vocals on this? Annete or Floor Jansen?

It has Anette's vocals, since this is just a movie score-like re-interpretation of all the Imaginaerum songs done by another guy they hired (who I guess has experience doing this stuff).

I agree with you. but the voting debate has been done many times on this site. nothin has changed yet, i don't understand the point of even allowing a rating of 1 or 2. No album is THAT bad.

The people who vote 1 or 2 would vote 0 if that were an option, or even below that if it was allowed. anyway, it's upto the admins to decide how to fix this, but i dont think they will.

About the album, it's good. the composing, the feel. but I don't think this album was needed. Hearing Nightwish do this isn't very heartening.

Not really, consists of the Imaginaerum songs re-worked by a film score composer. It's the OST for their movie.

I'm not saying Tuomas can't, but any "classical level" songwriting skills you may hear in this album is work of the film score composer who re-arranged the songs.

I can't see the point of this release... Even as a big nightwish fan I wouldn't buy it.

Yeah, but around the time when Imaginaerum was released, people were saying THAT would be the soundtrack of the movie. And it sounds like a soundtrack for sure And some months later an other Imaginaerum gets released? That's why I though it was unnecessary.

Well, like you said, "people were saying THAT would be the soundtrack of the movie". Neither the band nor Nuclear Blast Records said the Imaginaerum album was the soundtrack to the film. That's just what the fans and reviewers were saying. Nightwish and NB Records only said that the Imaginaerum film was based on the songs from the album.

Alright then, I didn't pay much attention to the news at the time, I just remember lot of people talking about the connection between the movie and the album.
And I feel the same way about this album as "The Score" by Epica. I don't really see it as part of their discography, just an experimentation, or one time thing.
