Don't give up on them though. Although this is a very good album I find their debut, Triumvirát, to be the superior one.

Yep, mz is clueless with his 5 rating, as this album is totally awesome indeed. Along with U.M.A., this is easily my favourite black metal release from 2013.

While I actually agree with you regarding Erik's standards of music... but I disagree with you with the rest. This is some good shit. and I take my shit seriously. D:
I like to think that I'm able understand why people like some stuff without me actually enjoying any of it.

I can see people enjoying this, but as I said, I really hate elements of Indian music. I even barely gave attention to BM parts of this album as I was irritated by eastern influences.

I really can't figure out that sentence. Better to have low standards (which I don't have, since I don't hand out high scores (especially 10's) that easily) than to not be able to recognize quality music.

Well he never said anything about quality. He said from the beginning that Eastern influenced music is not to his taste.

Fair enough, but a 5 score equals mediocre/not good and is pretty harsh for a quality record such as this I'd say.

I'd rather someone voted how they actually feel about an album that scoring it on what they think it deserves. That's one-step away from LeKiwi-level vote manipulation. Would make no sense for someone to give a high(er) score for an album they absolutely don't like.

Out of all my lists, the debut album list is the worst representation of my taste. A ton of albums on there I don't even like all that much, after all. Hence why in some cases I listened to other people's opinions as to which albums deserve to be on the list. In the end, there will literally be no-one who thinks that all debuts on the list are great. Obviously this list is the best representation of my taste in music. Though I haven't updated it in months, but I will do so when I feel like it (when I expand it to 100 albums, probably).

That's not my method at all. I judge music exactly the same way you do, but I said what I said because of you hating/disliking this album, Sadness' and Dolorian's debuts, which are all excellent albums in my opinion. Yes, it's totally your right to hate them for whatever reason, it's just that I was surprised you hate it as I would've guessed it to be your cup of tea.

Can't believe I missed this gem. Are the album lyrics written in Hindi too?

Man, 3.58 to 4.28 odd sounds like the best Drudkh riff Drudkh never came up with, then the rest of the track sounds like The Malediction Fields heaven. Magic stuff.

I don't really like Indian music. No surprise that this album is boring for me. काली मां is really good, though

The funny thing is there's actually barely any Indian music in this. A few atmospheric passages and background sounds nearer the start and end of the record but most of the tracks don't have much of a distinctive Indian identity.

Let me have a look at it again.

Yes admittedly my response to this album has been over-reactive. Like I said before, they are pretty good on their BM but some parts are still offensive as fuck. Those parts, however, are not as omnipresent as it initially seemed for me.

Just so you know I wasn't having a go at you or anything. I was listening through it again and was surprised at how little Indian music there really is in which never occurred to me before. I think everyone probably got swept up in the imagery and song names.
