Looks almost like a dig at BaN's Thematic Emanation of Archetypal Multiplicity.

Just finished listening to it for the first time. It's too chaotic to be judged just by one spin but I definitely can say that I'm really satisfied. This album is much less one dimensional than their (great) debut. Huge improvement in the songwriting had happened as there is enough variety included here. I personally did not expect IR to be an evolving band, but this had taken place. Moreover, two lengthy tracks included are, with great buildup and progression. For a long time, I wondered what would happen if the chaotic and dark version of death metal offered by bands like portal/ IR got doomy and this album is the closest thing to the answer of this question I've faced. Final track is one of the creepiest thing I've ever heard and such a prefect closer.
Candidate for album of the year right here. This is exactly how I like the my death metal.

What mz said. Probably the best thing to come from Impetuous Ritual or Portal since Outre'. At times it reminds me of Blut aus Nord's 'Liber' records.

I'm with Joe in saying that, aside from Outre' (and possible Swarth), this is the best thing from Portal/Impetuous Ritual. My only real complaint would be that some of the guitar lines sound slightly misplaced (such as the mini guitar solo at the 1:30 mark in the second track)

I srsly need to listen to this.
Loved the debut, which is weird casue I am generally not a fan of crypt death metal, though lately I've been getting into Ulcerate and Flourishing.

But I wouldn't call ulcerate or flourishing cryptic dm to be honest and their approach to songwriting and production is very different from cryptic bands.

This sortof was a shorter although more incorrect way of expressing myself, it is true that Impetuous Ritual has a more "crypt" atmosphere than the two I mentioned but this doubles as both "crypt" dm and post-dm. I guess I used the term quite wrong here .
