Touched by grace once more, the Russian band known as Kauan carries on with their folkish doom atmospheric brilliance with another composition that spans the whole album. After the impressive Pirut, I was a little weary when Kauan's mastermind Anton Belov announced that this was going to be another epic composition. After all, how could it compare to the sheer genius of Pirut? So yeah, I was a fan of the band coming in, but this album does not disappoint. Let me rephrase that. It has all the makings of a classic masterpiece for years to come.

Sounded good, better than the last one, more like the previous few. Youtube kept crapping out on me, so I didn't get to hear all of it, though.

Wow, this song is fantastic! Suits the story very well, on first listen I'd say as good as Aava Tuulen Maa, which is no easy task.

Update: After having listened to this many times now I think i can say that I firmly believe this to be their best work to date. The many themes that recur towards the end of the track round it off superbly, much like Pirut did, and the way they sing in Finnish sounds so emotional and beautiful.

Could be a serious contender for my aoty.

I have had high expectations for this album, their performance here is not even half as good as the prior 2 albums. Muistumia was absolutely a masterpiece from start to finish, this album feels like a step down in terms of performance. But it's still a Kauan album!

Compared to Muistumia this is a big disappointment, it's just boring, there is barely any metal!! I want to like it more but it's just not my cup of tea.

I have only listened to Aava tuulen maa and even though its a great album its a bit too much post-folk-Rock and bit too less of post-folk-Metal. I would like some harder parts on Aava tuulen maa. Is this album mostly rock or has it harder parts?

If you want a more metal release you should definitely check out Muistumia

Some nice moments all over the place, but also unremarkable at many points. Would serve well as backround music, but I can definitely see why so many people enjoy this.

Folk and/or doom is typically outside of my interests but this is some great stuff here. Very cinematic, and that artwork is among my favorites of last year.

Heard this record 2 days ago and it impressed me a LOT. Listening to it ever since and planning on checking the rest of their catalog. Never ever thought I would ever enclose anything related to doom metal in my heart but this is just beautiful.

This is the album that introduced me to Kauan, and I think this is undoubtedly their best work till date. Kit, khurum and Nila are some perfect songs written in my opinion. The subject matter is interesting and acts as a great Muse for the album. Even the artwork is haunting in the backdrop of the subject matter

The Instrumentation creates a perfect soundscape for the tragic circumstances behind the albums theme. Although I don't find it an album suitable for listening to on a regular basis it's certainly a good album to listen to as a one off every now and then, and when in the right mood.
