More than twenty-five years into the game and after a tumultuous 2013 that resulted in parting ways with longtime vocalist, Tobias Sidegård, Necrophobic are back with one of the best releases in their career. The Necrogram is alive and immutable.

I love the cover art - the beautiful golden lettering of the band logo, the eerie atmosphere of the satanic church, the steam rising from the pools of hell, and the overall red color!
And, of course, the hypnotic blackened death metal doesn't disappoint! Tsar Bomba, like the previous post mentioned, is super catchy - and I was expecting the rest of the album to not be as good. But the second half of the album is actually just as strong!
My favorite tracks are: Tsar Bomba, From the Great Above to the Great Below, Requiem for a Dying Sun, and Pesta
Also, I'm a sucker for instrumental outros

Revisited this album. It's still amazing! Especially the songs "Sacrosanct" and the title track reminded me why I bought this CD
I think this might be my second favorite Necrophobic album (after the debut). Every song is so blasphemous, melodic, intense, and just simply captivating!

I can't disagree with you. It's my 2nd or 3rd favourite as well because I love Dawn of the Damned just as much as this. Surely it's no coincidence that it's the same vocalist on all 3 albums?

One would think... but Parland seems to be the primary writer on The Nocturnal Silence, while Ramstedt is the main writer here. So it seems that the vocalist isn't involved in the songwriting, unless I'm missing something?
Either way, he probably does have some influence (maybe not in actual songwriting, but instead in the attitude and energy of the band)
