This is thrash, well somehow I will ask did some big 4 bands plaid true thrash? maybe real thrash is in New Jerery not bay area. I like it, its aggressive, heavy, fast, only what is missing some killer songs for old MTV videos. Hehhee. I have not listened thrash often in last years, because non thrash bands, new ones gives what I need, there had a movement some years ago nwotm, its gone, old farts left and they kick some shit ass here.

Usually I wouldnt say this, but the vocals kind distracted me from a somewhat little above average thrash record. First two tracks were very cool, then it headed into generic space. Needless to say this is the same album since Ironbound, the first time was cool, but now, come on...

Besides the 3 singles, I've only heard up to "Batshit Crazy." During the breakdown in both "Believe in the Fight" & "Batshit Crazy," Blitz seems to slur the verses too much & it gets annoying after a while. But it's good so far. And it's less thrash like their previous releases. Sounds more crossover with a bit of heavy metal involved. Similar to "White Devil Armory."

I guess the new bands like toxic holocaust, havoc, ... are stealing the genre. the iconic old thrash bands should leave the field for their own offsprings. What I mean is, WTF is this album?

After a first listen, it's ok, same ol' Overkill, loved the energy. I see people keep comparing this album to Flotsam & Jetsam's. I enjoyed The End of Chaos more.

It's pretty clear if you have been listening Overkill since Ironbound, it's a cookie-cutter approach, and I'd bet their focus is on trying to write good songs rather than purposefully write something unprecedented. Personally I say Old School Style Thrash Overkill > Groove Overkill (I doubt they would play something else than those two).

Expect-able music yet I'm still listening to it with no regrets. I'm afraid that for me not all of these 50 minutes will see multiple listens, but on the other hand "Last Man Standing", "Welcome To The Garden State" and "Hole In My Soul" sound like instant Overkill classics.

Pretty dull by thrash standards but still hits all the notes you'd come to expect from Overkill, and anyone else from the old guard for that matter. Not quite toothless, but lacks bite and meanders into generic "pop thrash" territory far too much for my liking. If this were released 25 years ago people might regard it as a classic by today's standards, but as a 2019 release, it's just so...watered down and repetitive.
