Sampsa Astala, (born 23 January 1974, Vantaa, Finland) was the drummer of the Finnish hard rock band Lordi. In Lordi he played under the stage name of "Kita". His character is a manbeast from an ancient alien race.
Despite conservatives' claims that Lordi are a satanic band, Kita is in fact a member of the Church of Finland.
The name "Kita" is a Finnish word meaning a gap or a maw, large mouth (of a beast).
